COVID-19 Cancellations

Under the direction of Rugby Alberta and in an effort to keep our players and coaches safe and healthy for the season, as well as while we await ACT Rec Center repairs, we are cancelling indoor training for the remainder of the planned sessions. Remaining minis sessions at Kinsmen have also been cancelled. Outdoor training is still planned to begin when field conditions permit and we will keep you updated on any changes as both the current medical situation and the weather evolve. Thanks to everyone for their understanding and please contact an executive board member if you have any questions.

“Being a member of the rugby community means loving the sport and your teammates and everyone who enjoys it and wanting them to keep being able to as well. It sucks. But let’s wait this out so we can all get back at it quick and without anyone getting sick. Pirates keep themselves and their friends safe”

Seeking: Rental Coordinator – Volunteer Position

Pirates are looking for a rental coordinator! This is a volunteer position that includes maintaining a booking calendar, showing the facility to potential renters, coordinating openings and closings for rentals and being a point of contact. The position has a lot of support from the board and membership, so it’s not something where you need to know what to do already or do it all yourself – we will help you along the way! The position qualifies a player to bypass the volunteer deposit requirement for the 2020 season, so a great opportunity to get your hours on the books early. It is also open to non-players or those who may wish to have a role to use as an addition to their employment resume. Contact any of the board members or email info@piratesrugby.ca for details if you are interested.
